An independent data platform on franchising in Vietnam

vietnamfranchise.net tracks Vietnam's franchise industry from public records: the Ministry of Industry and Trade franchise registry, laws and decrees, and industry studies. We publish in Vietnamese first; this English section serves foreign franchisors, investors and advisers.

Every figure has a source and a date

Each number names the organisation that published it, links to the exact page, and states the date the data refers to — not the date we read it. Where only a media report of a study is available, we say so.

Not enough data means we say so

Vietnam has no official count of Vietnamese brands franchising abroad. The widely repeated figure of “around 22” cannot be traced to the ministry, so we do not publish it. An empty table is better than an invented one.

Rankings, indices and scores are not for sale

No payment buys a place in the registry, the Vietnam Franchise Index or the Brand Transparency checklist, or a mention in our articles. Sponsored material carries a red “sponsored” label and never enters a ranking.

Registered is not the same as recommended

A Ministry of Industry and Trade registration shows that a brand may franchise into Vietnam. It does not mean the brand is seeking partners, and it is not an endorsement.

Mistakes are logged in public

Corrections are dated and kept on our corrections page. Changes to how we measure something are versioned on the methodology page; old versions are not deleted.

We are a platform, not a press agency

vietnamfranchise.net is an information and data platform. It is not a licensed press organisation under Vietnamese law and does not present itself as one.

Who is behind it

The platform is founded and led by Nguyễn Phi Vân, a franchise adviser who chairs the advisory council of the Vietnam Franchise & Licensing Network (VFLN). Content is prepared by the vietnamfranchise.net content team. Some articles are drafted with automated tools; those carry an “automated” label and a named source for every claim.

Our sister site franchising.vn is a marketplace where brands look for partners. The two are kept separate on purpose: data and analysis here, deals there. Being listed on franchising.vn has no effect on anything published here.
